Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead (1991)
With that title, this could have easily been a sequel to the Michael Myers / Halloween franchise.
But it’s not. Instead it’s a 90’s family friendly comedy breaking Christina Applegate out of her Kelly Bundy role.
Five siblings are left alone all summer when their mom leaves town and the evil babysitter bites the dust.
Now that we’ve established that, why is Artsploitation Films asking the question, “Where are they now?”
Michael Kopelow (Hellhound in Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead) is writer and actor in the Artsploitation Films release Counter-Clockwise!
By inventively merging mind-bending science fiction with dark comedy, COUNTER CLOCKWISE delivers a hugely entertaining thriller about a befuddled time travelling scientist caught up in a murder mystery. Bearded scientist Ethan Walker is obsessively working on inventing a tele-transportation device. Instead he stumbles into inventing a time machine and recklessly zaps himself six months into the future. Ethen finds that the future has taken a sinister tone as men are out to kill him and the police are looking for him for the murder of his sister and wife. He now needs to try to return to the point right before everything went wrong and solve the mysteries. Easier said than done. An inventive, head-scratching, fast-paced American Indie time-travelling gem.
Of course, we all know that Danielle Harris did in fact end up kicking all kinds of ass in the Halloween franchise. A young Danielle first tangled with Michael Myers in Halloween 4 and then again in Halloween 5. In the Rob Zombie re-boot of Halloween and it’s sequel Halloween 2, Danielle graduated to full-fledge Scream Queen.
